The Difference Between the Pressure Side and Suction Side Pool Vacuum
Summer is upon us once again and everyone is eager to find the nearest swimming pool to relax in. Relax being the key word, not spending all of our time cleaning the pool. Fortunately there have been wonderful advances made in the world of pool maintenance that makes cleaning virtually hands off. Two products that are well worth consideration are the Pressure Side and Suction Side Pool Vacuums.
Pressure Side vacuums use the pressure off of either the main circulation pump or a separate booster pump to work. This pressure is what enables the vacuum to move around the pool and collect debris into its bag. With a Pressure Side vacuum no debris is sucked into the pool filter or the pump basket. Since the filter and basket remain clean you do not have to clean as often as you would with other systems. This system is a dedicated unit, which works very well for pools that are in areas where foliage can be a problem. It’s only draw back is that it doesn’t scrub the walls very well.
Do They Make Hot Tub That Runs Only on Solar Power?
If you are looking for a hot tub that works only on solar power you will have a hard time finding one. There are a lot of fancy hot tubs on the market with underwater blinking light, blaring music, and even ones with televisions but there aren’t any that run just on solar power. If you want a solar tub, you will have to find a way to make your own.
For a hot tub to run only on solar power, you would have to live somewhere where the sun is out all the time. Since this rules out most of the country, there just isn’t enough demand for manufacturers to make one. Additionally, solar panels are expensive and there would have to be a way to have enough space to put the solar panels to get the job done. These factors all work against the production of solar hot tubs.
Get Your Pool Ready – What Everyone Must Have Purchased For Your Pool Before Summer Begins!
When Summer begins, its time to get nice and cold and enjoy the crisp clear water of your pool. Like many other landowners who have pools, they have many equipment materials purchased and ready to help keep their pool crisp clear and sanitized.
Maybe your a homeowner who is looking to add a pool? Or maybe your pool needs a facelift? Well, before you rush out and buy or upgrade your pool for the summer months, there are a few items that are necessary to purchase.
1. Buy A Filtration System.
A Filtration System is one of the most important parts of the pool since it helps regulate and clean the parts of the pool. Without a filtration system small debris and bacteria can begin to accumulate inside a pool.
Swimming Pools – Be Chlorine Free
Did you know that you can have a clean and sanitary pool without burning your eyes or turning your hair green? Alternative sanitizers are becoming more popular and more desirable. Chlorine has been used for many years to sanitize pool water. We have come to accept the strong smell as meaning the water is clean. It was then discovered that Bromine worked just as well as a sanitizer and was almost odorless. The problem with Bromine is it “burns off” very quickly in the sun, which made it more suitable for hot tubs and spas.
More recently(in the last 20 years) “Alternative Sanitizers” have been developed. Although, these methods are called sanitizers, they have not been approved by the EPA. Technically, these methods are water conditioners and need to be used along with a sanitizer or shock once a week.
